Getting to Sun City

There are no direct flights to Sun City. Ideally, visitors would fly to Johannesburg first and then either rent a vehicle, board a bus or hop onto a Sun City transfer.

As the Sun City resort is only two and a half hours outside Johannesburg, it is quite common for guests to rent a vehicle and drive themselves. While this option is the most economical, it is important to note that the roads to Sun City are quite narrow and may lead to slower vehicles getting stuck behind one of the many trucks that make use of this route.

Similarly, the same frustrations can be experience when travelling to Sun City by bus. Visitors can catch a bus from either Pretoria or Johannesburg.

Sun City transfers are by far the quickest and easiest way to reach the Sun City resort from Johannesburg. Sun City transfers allow you to sit back and enjoy the passing scenery while someone else does the driving.  Not only do you get to sit back and relax but the drivers usually know a short cut or two which means you’ll get to Sun City much faster.
