Itinerary

Day 1: Begin Your Explorations of Cape Town

Your African family holiday begins today as you arrive in beautiful Cape Town and collect your rental car from Cape Town International Airport, and make your way to Walden House. This gracious Victorian home is situated at the base of Table Mountain, and offers a great place from which to explore the city. Unwind with a swim in the pool or set out to discover Cape Town with your family.

Days 2-3: Discover the Wonders of the Cape

The next few days are spent enjoying the attractions and highlights of Cape Town, arguably one of the world's most popular tourist destinations. Soak up the sun on Camps Bay beach, go shopping at the Waterfront or take the cable car up Table Mountain. For the more adventurous, there are a host of adventure activities on offer, while kids will enjoy visiting the penguins at Boulders Beach. Take a trip to Cape Point, go wine tasting in the Cape Winelands or enjoy an historic trip out to Robben Island.

Day 4-5: Enjoy Sun City

Sun City is internationally renowned as one of the world's most exotic and extravagant holiday resorts. By day, Sun City is a year-round holiday paradise - with golf courses, paragliding, an artificial beach, waterpark and neighbouring safari reserve. By night it's a glitzy hub of restaurants, a casino and often host to spectacular shows. Spend 2 exciting days here, enjoying all that this amazing resort has to offer.

Day 6: Fly into the Sabi Sands

Catch your next flight to nearby Hoedspruit Airport, where you'll be met and transferred into the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve. The Sabi Sands is known for its spectacular game viewing, and you'll enjoy both that and fine service, a relaxed atmosphere and family friendly activities at Ngala Safari Lodge - a colonial-style family safari lodge situated in a game-rich area of the Sands.

Days 7-8: Search for the Big 5 at Ngala

Ngala Safari Lodge is a gracious, colonial-style safari lodge and known for its warm, friendly service, family-oriented activities and superb game-viewing. Enjoy twice daily game drives in open air safari vehicles, night drives and even guided nature walks. There is also plenty for children to do, from watching interesting wildlife videos to spending some time with the chef in the kitchen. Be on the lookout for the Big 5 - lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard - and enjoy the warm hospitality of the Shangaan people.

Day 9: Spend a Night in Johannesburg

Today you'll be transferred back through the Sabi Sands to Hoedspruit Airport, where you'll catch a flight back to Johannesburg. On arrival, you'll be met and transferred to the Life Hotel, a contemporary and modern hotel situated close to OR Tambo. Enjoy a relaxed evening, or head out on the town for a drink or gourmet dinner at one of Johannesburg's top restaurants.

Day 10-13: Arrive in Tropical Mozambique

This morning after breakfast you'll catch your flight to Vilanculos in Mozambique, where you'll enjoy a short charter flight to Indigo Bay Island Resort & Spa, a luxury beach resort situated on Bazaruto Island, the largest in the Bazaruto Archipelago. This luxurious resort is elegant, relaxed and comfortable, with thatched chalets dotted through the gardens, and a long white beach framing the turquoise bay. The next few days are yours to enjoy, by relaxing on the beach, heading out on a premier scuba-diving excursion or even setting off to do some game fishing. There is plenty to do at Indigo Bay; from dune boarding and horse riding, to waterskiing, kayaking and windsurfing - children and adults will be well entertained.

Day 14: Say Goodbye to Africa

Bid farewell to tropical Indigo Bay today and catch your charter flight back to Vilanculos, where you'll catch your return flight to Johannesburg.
