Sun City, unique among resorts, has a combination of features unmatched anywhere in the world and draws thousands of visitors each year. Among the many sporting activities offered, including tennis, horse riding and mountain biking, there are also loads of watersports on offer at Sun City’s Waterworld.
Located on the Sun City Lake – a man-made lake situated near to The Cabanas Hotel - guests can parasail, water ski, canoe and wind surf. Leisurely 30 minute cruises around the lake aboard ‘Tswala’ (meaning ‘friend’ in Tswana) are a more relaxing experience, and great for sundowners.
Other exciting water-based activities include jet skiing, paddle skiing and mini-boat rides. Step up the adrenaline a notch with tube rides and the wake snake.
If you’re travelling with children too young to participate in the watersports, the range of children’s activities including bumper boats and go-karts is not too far off.
The Waterworld facilities are open daily in summer between 9:30am and 18:30pm, and in winter between 9:30am and 17:30pm.
All these water activities can be enjoyed in the year round good weather that South Africa experiences.
